HOW DO WE REDUCE OUR EMISSIONS?
We worked hard to reduce the footprint of products from the beginning. We reduced the number of component we use, we selected processes to avoid unnecessary cutting and we chose recycled and recyclable materials.
The impact for one pair of Norm is only 6,5 kg of CO2 equivalent. This is 80% lower than the industry average. As you will read here bellow, our emissions are however compensated for each products, which means they are in reality null.
But we go beyond that and we look at all the processes we have in our company. From the choice of our delivery courriers, our electricity suppliers...to the number of flights we take to visit the production facilities, everything is taken into account to reduce our impact on the planet.
EVERYTHING WE DO HAS AN IMPACT ON THE PLANET
WE ARE CLIMATE +
It is already a good thing to limit our footprint, but we decided to be Climate Positive. It means that we wish to go beyond the zero carbon emissions and we create a benefit for the environment. To do that, we partner with a Belgian NGO, Graine de Vie, to plant two trees in Madagascar for each pair we sell. Each tree planted compensate for approximately 100kg of CO2 eq during its lifetime.

HOW DO WE CALCULATE?
Based on existing studies, we evaluate the impact of every single components and raw materials we use. We add to that the traveling distance that each one of them have to do until the final products are delivered to our warehouse. Finally we taken into account the production and a factor for the end of life of our products.
We don't have a solution yet to give a second, third or fourth life to our products but we're working on it and it will come in the near future.
